Schedule Breaks In Your Day


Hey…You are passionate about what you do and can put in some long hours with what you do. I also know what it means to go long…and to go non-stop. I am learning on this one. Much like my all day training sessions, breaks are needed to regain energy and stay sharp. Going all day without a personal break is tough. 

Whether working at home or in an office…take your lunch in an area that is not at your desk or work area. Change up the environment. Take a mid-morning break or a mid-afternoon break by going for a walk, stepping outside, getting a refreshment or healthy snack, or listening to some music…. and yes, possibly taking a short rest or nap! The idea is to take short breaks to re-energize. For hard-charging folks like myself, this is an on-going development for me.   How will you schedule breaks in your day?  … to make the comeback!


Pete has a rotation of 60 inspirational  “Second Wind Radio –  Spirit of the Comeback” messages. Mike Gilland (The Shepherd Radio – Radio Station Operations Manager) has graciously given Pete the opportunity to record these messages at THE SHEPHERD RADIO. These messages now air on the radio and the segments are called “FOR THE WIN!” The messages will broadcast on the following “The Shepherd Network” radio stations:

Orlando – 1270 AM

Ocala/The Villages – 720 AM  and 103.5 FM

Gainesville – 1430 AM and 96.3 FM
